Sol Polymer Clay Cutters

💙 How to use
Our cutters have very thin and sharp cutting edges, to give the cleanest cut, and some of the cutters are very small and detailed. To prevent clay from sticking to cutters, I recommend:
- You have to make sure your clay sticks to your work surface before cutting. If you put your clay on wax paper, for example, it will not stick to the surface, it will stick to the cutters.
- Be generous with cornstarch/ baby powder. You can always brush off the excess cornstarch with a brush after cutting.
- I DO NOT recommend using my cutters with plastic wrap
because the cutters are sharp, they will cut through the plastic wrap anyway, and also, because the cutting blades are thin, the plastic wrap might damage the blades.
- You can also try dapping your cutters into a sponge of cold soapy water. I have tried this method with Premo clay and personally love it. But I recommend you test on a small scrap piece of your clay first before using this method to make sure your clay does not react with water.
- Sometimes, putting your rolled out clay slab into your fridge for a few minutes can help to have a cleaner cutting as your clay could get warm after you condition it and it tends to stick to cutters.
- Last but not least: One "technique" I find that is very helpful cutting clay is: You press down the cutter halfway, then pull it back up a teeny tiny bit, then cut it all the way. I never have clay stick to cutters doing it this way.

💙 How to care for your cutters:
- Sol Cutters are made from my love. Whereas I try to make them as strong as I can, they are still little babies and please be gentle with them. Please do not drop them, do not try to break them (to test how strong they are!), do not step on them. Handle with care, store them in containers to avoid breaking, or missing small pieces.
- Clean them with warm soapy water and a soft toothbrush. Do not submerge them in acetone and/or rubbing alcohol like the internet says.
- If you have clay stuck into your cutters, do not try to take the clay out immediately, put your cutters into your freezer for a few minutes and the clay will be much easier to get out with a toothpick.

Sol Water Soluble Transfer Paper

💙 How to Use:
Prepare:
- Condition and roll your clay on a smooth surface (ceramic or glass tile recommended).
- Place the printed side of the transfer paper face down on the clay.
- Roll gently to remove air bubbles and ensure full contact.
- Leave the paper on the clay for at least 15 minutes, allow ink to fully fuse with clay.
Rinse:
- Rinse under a gentle stream of cold water until the paper dissolves completely.
- Gently rub off any residue with your fingertips
- Then pat the clay dry with a paper towel.
Cut, bake, and seal:
- Cut and bake as soon as possible after you rinse to avoid color bleeding
- Cover with foil while baking to protect the image.
- If a white film appears after baking, lightly spray with water and wipe with a baby wipe.
- Seal the image with a glaze of your choice.

Sol Rubber Texture Mat

💙 How to Use:
- Condition and roll your polymer clay to an even thickness and a little bit thicker than how you’d like to end up with
- Place the texture mat on top of the clay, texture-side down.
- Apply firm, even pressure using your acrylic roller.
- Carefully lift the texture mat to reveal the embossed pattern
- Cut and bake your design as normal
💡 For best results, use thickness guides when rolling.

💙 Care & Storage:
- Clean after each use with warm, soapy water and a soft toothbrush
- Clay may stick if it is too soft for fine details. These texture mats perform best with firm, well-conditioned clay. Remove clay residue gently to protect fine details.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, excessive heat, and abrasive materials
- Pat dry with a lint-free cloth or allow to air dry
- Store flat when possible

Sol Silicone Baking Mat

💙 How to Use:
- Condition the polymer clay of your choice
- Use a ball tool to press the clay firmly into the designs on the mat, ensuring each cavity is completely filled
- Wipe the surface gently with alcohol to remove excess clay
- Bake in the oven according to your clay manufacturer’s instructions
- Allow the mat to cool completely before demolding the baked pieces
- Liquid clay can be used with a needle tip, but I find raw clay applied with ball tools produces the best results.
- The mat may curl slightly after baking—this is normal. While still warm, place it on a flat surface with a tile on top to flatten if desired..

💙 Care & Storage:
- Clean after each use with warm, soapy water and a soft toothbrush
- Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or excessive heat
- Pat dry with a lint-free cloth or allow to air dry
⚠️ If your clay snaps or breaks when removing it from the mat, it is likely underbaked. Bake longer and at the proper temperature for your clay brand.
